What is the AIMC Sangha Care Committee?
The Sangha Care Committee oversees efforts made to help all who come to AIMC feel welcomed, cared for, and part of the community.
There are three components which make up Sangha Care:
- Greeters: a team of volunteers who take turns at Thursday and Sunday meditation as well as special events giving tours to newcomers, and saying “welcome back” to familiar faces. (Ronnie Medina coordinator)
- Cards of Caring: We keep an assortment of cards for get well, birthdays, congratulations, etc–we just need a community member to describe the occasion and give a mailing address. (Julie Russell coordinator)
- Circle of Care Team: This group of AIMC volunteers respond to community members who require support and care. (Cynthia Copeland coordinator)
