Meditation Gathering and Dharma Talk (Four Foundations of Mindfulness) with Betsy Vanleit 6:30-8:00 pm

In the Satipatthana Sutta, the Buddha describes four foundations of mindfulness, and associated meditation practices.  The foundations include mindfulness of body, feelings, mind, and objects of mind.  

In our study of the four foundations, we will follow the Sutta and address:

Aug 18, 22     Qualities of Mind: Diligence and Clear Knowing

Aug 25, 29      The Satipatthana refrain (followed by tea on the 25th)

Sep 1, 5          Mindfulness of breathing

Sep 8, 12        Mindfulness of postures and activities

Sep 15, 19      Mindfulness of physical characteristics (elements)

Sep 22, 26      Mindfulness of feelings (followed by tea on the 22nd)
