Taking Refuge: Daylong Retreat with Kathryn Turnipseed

July 22 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

“Liberation and well-being is the birthright of all, awakening to our shared belonging within the web of life is a critical component for a sustainable, just, and equitable world.”  – Thanissara and Kittisaro

Taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, offers a reliable source of inspiration and guidance as we face the pressures, challenges, and stress that arise through the mind’s conditioning as well as worldly events.

This retreat offers an opportunity to practice awareness and take refuge, and will include meditation, chanting, and instruction. A vegan lunch will be provided.

Kathryn Turnipseed is the Senior Community Dharma Leader at AIMC. You can learn more about her here.

This retreat is offered on the basis of dana, a practice of mutual generosity that has been alive since the time of the Buddha. This practice ensures that all who are interested in the teachings of the Buddha can attend AIMC’s programs independent of financial means.

There will be an opportunity to offer support (dana) to the teacher.

This retreat is now full. You are welcome to sign the waitlist here to be notified if there are cancellations:
